01 · TWO SERVICES
HR support, and investigations when it matters
Schools and trusts face more complaints, more allegations and more formal processes than ever. We offer two services: an ongoing HR partnership, and independent investigations you can commission on their own, whenever a case needs an objective, expert view.
02 · INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATIONS
Investigations you can stand behind
An independent investigator protects everyone: the person raising the concern, the person it is about, and the leaders who must decide what happens next. It also frees headteachers and central teams from work that can take weeks.
03 · HOW WE INVESTIGATE
A clear, proportionate process
Every investigation follows a structured process aligned to your policies, the Acas Code of Practice and statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education where relevant.
04 · WHO INVESTIGATES
Led by a specialist who knows schools
Our investigations are led by Penny Reid, with experienced former police officers for the most complex cases.
05 · HR SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS
HR advice that is practical, not theoretical
Day-to-day advice, expert casework and strategic HR for maintained schools, academies and multi-academy trusts, from former school leaders, COOs and Chief People Officers who understand what it is like to manage staff while keeping children safe.

07 · FAQS
Frequently asked questions
Do we need an HR contract to commission an investigation?
No. Investigations are a standalone service. Each case is scoped and quoted individually before any work starts.
Who carries out the investigation?
Investigations are led by Penny Reid. For complex cases, such as suspected fraud or serious misconduct, we use experienced former police investigators.
Can you investigate parental complaints?
Yes. We investigate at the formal stage of your complaints policy, provide independent panel members and support complaints panels to run fair hearings.
How long does an investigation take?
It depends on the scope and the number of witnesses. We agree a timescale at the start and give regular updates so the case does not drift.
What happens if a safeguarding concern emerges?
Safeguarding comes first. We pause and make sure the right people are informed, including the DSL and the LADO, before the investigation continues.
Is HR support available to single schools as well as trusts?
Yes. We support maintained schools, standalone academies and multi-academy trusts, with each school given a named adviser.
